Eli played the part of the blind father and reaped the whirl wind with his sons. Noah was a righteous father. His sons rejected the ways and the wisdom of the world and stood alone with their father in the truth. They helped build the ark. They willingly entered the ark with faith that God's wrath was coming on the whole earth through a global flood and the only way to survive was God's gracious ark. May we fathers build the ark of Christ's Gospel daily so that our sons and daughters will be spared the fiery wrath that is coming in the Day of Judgment.
