Jesus, Bearer of Living Water

The woman at the well in Samaria wanted the "living water" that Jesus spoke about. But Jesus was not talking about mere fresh water, but eternal life that is implanted by the Holy Spirit, life that would never end and would fully satisfy human existence. Jesus himself is the fountain of salvation, the same One whom Jeremiah spoke of as the "fountain of living waters."
