Preparing for heaven—holy watching

Peter, stirred by loving regard and concern for troubled pilgrims, urges them in a loving warning to beware of the lies and to hold to the truth; he issues a tender command, to fix their eyes and their souls upon our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, always growing in the grace and knowledge of him; he closes with an adoring testimony, that he and they ought to be devoted to that Lord and Saviour now and always, so looking always to the glory to come.
