A Defense of Liberty Against Tyrants

In this Sunday School lesson Vindiciae Contra Tyrannos is introduced, read from, and discussed. It was originally a book published 7 years after the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre in France, in which 30,000 reformed protestant Huguenots were murdered by Roman Catholic activists.

The Vindiciae is the most clear Reformed work setting forth the right and duty of Interposition by lesser or equal Magistrates.
