Diligent in Knowledge

122 ( 82 | 40 )

The writer's desire is that the believers press hard after the full knowledge of God. That full assurance of hope… a certain knowledge of what is promised and what is contained IN that promise. A certain knowledge that God keeps the promises He makes. All of them, no exception. This means that we must know both the promises and the God who made them, for His veracity and power are what allow us to cling to Him so that we hold fast to His promises. We must also be cautioned as we begin, that there is knowledge that comes from the world and often masquerades as truth, it might even contain some fragments of true wisdom, but a partial truth is a whole lie. So we must understand that all true knowledge comes from and gives honor unto God. He ALONE is the author of all truth and wisdom, He ALONE is the source of all true knowledge.
