A good message for Reformation Day. The reformers confronted the church regarding its "traditions." In Luther's 95 Theses there was the initial issue of the sale of indulgences. Even more importantly, how sinful man could be made righteous in the presence of a Holy God. In Mark, we see Jesus confront the Pharisees for their "man-made" religion. Jesus drew from Isaiah 29 and is from there, we see Gospel Hope. Post tenebras lux--"after darkness, light."
