You Are Complete in Him

Having laid before us the glorious abundance of life in Christ, the inspired apostle now has some words of warning and encouragement. Even though we are secure in our Savior, we should never come to the conclusion that there are no dangers out there. The fact is, that our security in Christ can cause us to lose our focus and turn security into sloth and presumption. To counter this temptation, Paul draws our attention back to what confronts us and to what our response should be. If we heed the warnings and let security bring about holy boldness, we will truly experience the promised abundance.
