God's Will of Particulars –

Chapters 4-6 are filled with the specifics of GOD'S WILL for us…

SEVEN STEPS – you and I should take if we are serious about knowing and doing God's will.

Step #1 – Conduct an Honest Self -Interrogation

Step #2 – Ask Yourself—What is God telling me in His Word? – Are there any biblical precepts, principles, promises, or patterns that will help me know what God wants me to do?

Step #3 – Put What You Already Know Into Practice – If you are not obeying God in the major areas of your life… don't expect Him to give you direction in the particulars—for specific things… (Psalm 111:10) “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who DO HIS COMMANDMENTS...”

Step #4 – Seek Godly Counsel – Proverbs 3:7… 20:24… 11:14…12:15… 15:22

Step #5 – Consider God's Providence – Use providence to confirm what you learned in the previous steps… Never make a decision based only on some “favorable providence”… PROVIDENCE has no real weight unless it agrees with God's Word and the godly counsel you've been given...

Step #6 – How Do These Things Correspond To The Desires of Your Own Heart? – Psalm 37:4-6

Step #7 – Soberly Assess All Your Options and Make A Decision – The Lord is pleased to give us precepts, principles, patterns, people, and His providence as a means to test our faith—to see if we're going to trust and honor Him…
