Wars of the Son of Satan

These verses speak of the the relentless wars of the Antichrist against all who oppose him and the global reach of his kingdom even to the church of the living God. It is Christ who brings him to his end. The text reinforces the truth that history is strewn with cruelty and bloodshed--all bacause of man's sinful estate. The world is not a happy place. These verses also teach that the way of God in dealing with nations and individual persons is to bring them low through seasons of darkness and suffereing before the most singular displays of his love and deliverance. Christians should understand what God is accomplishing in times of their own personal darkness and suffering and look with confidence to a season of light and joy to certainly follow.
