God's People Need Wise Shepherds

The responsibility of shepherding Christ's flock is a heavy burden and too much to be born by one man. In Moses' day, the people selected wise elders to help Moses to lead, and this principle of a 'plurality' of wise elders selected by the congregation who help to bear the burden of leadership in the church is still God's pattern for Church government in the present day.
