59 The Origin and Fall of Satan

The highest of the highest order of the Cherubim was Halal, (Hebrew) but commonly called Lucifer (Latin). He was God's most elevated Cherubim, and sin was found in him. What Ezekiel and Isaiah tell us is that he was cast down to earth and he hasn't forgotten it; he has been fighting ever since. His name was changed to Satan the adversary after his fall (Isaiah 14:12). God’s word tells of the six successive domains of Satan. They are:

• The Throne of God (Past)
• The Jeweled Garden of Eden (Past)
• The Atmospheric Heavens (Present)
• The Earth (Future)
• The Abyss (Future)
• The Lake of Fire (Future)
