Seven (Deadly) Sins God Hates: Sowing Discord among Brethren ( Sermon 7 of 7)

This message considers the SEVENTH Sin that God hates, ONE WHO SOWS DISCORD AMONG BRETHREN. This seventh sin that God hates… that He regards as an abomination is especially this sin of sowing discord in the Church. God intends there to be peace and unity among those who love and care for each other. This is perhaps nowhere more expected than in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ… and yet how often don't we hear and see just the opposite. “Love one another just as I have loved you!”

THE SINS GOD HATES THE VIRTUES GOD DESIRES

1. A proud look vs. Look on others with humility
2. A lying tongue vs. Speak the truth in love
3. Hands that shed innocent blood vs. Help and protect those in need
4. A heart that devises wicked plans vs. Use intellect for God’s glory
5. Feet that are swift in running to evil vs. Resist evil and do good to all
6. A false witness who speaks lies vs. Faithfully defend other’s reputation
7. One who sows discord among brethren. vs. Seek peace and unity with all

Let us all earnestly seek to live in the manner that God desires. We are either exemplifying what is good, right and true, OR what is bad, wrong and false. The Golden Rule is good for all. Do to others as you want them to do to you!
