People of the Book

The Word of God is normally taught and preached by ministers and church leaders, but the teaching of Scripture is that the faith has been entrusted to the saints (cf., Jude 3). All believers have a right to know and understand the full counsel of God (Acts 20:27). Christians in particular are to be known as "The People of the Book". Do you set aside time in order to read and study God's Word? Are you growing steadily in the true knowledge of God as revealed in the Holy Bible? Do your church leaders explain the Scriptures to you, or do they skip around and teach only what seems practical or convenient?
