The Gospel is God's Power
Series Romans series 2009
Paul was eager to get to Rome and preach the Gospel. He was unashamed to proclaim the simple message about Jesus Christ without having to make it appealing. Even knowing the message could generate hostility or strong opposition he was fearless in making the good news Christ's death and resurrection known.
Paul lived putting everything on the line for the sake of preaching the Gospel having had complete confidence in the power of God to save through the message being heard.
The Gospel saves those who hear and believe as God's power becomes operative to rescue and deliver from sin. God's salvation brings forgiveness of sins, deliverance from slavery to sin, deliverance from spiritual death, and deliverance from the wrath of God.
This one way of salvation is available and accessible to all who will believe the message of the Gospel. By believing the message the hearer is connected to the power source, which is God Himself, to be saved.
