Don't Waste Your Trial
Series This Day and That Day
56
When we are cut to the heart or broken, it leaves a sensitivity that never goes away. Just like having surgery, you know that despite the healing, there's still a weakness or a pain that doesn't go away. It reminds you of what you went through. That sensitivity helps you to be sensitive to the pain of others. We cannot provide good soul care to one another without having cares overcome. Our passage tells us that trials come so that the comfort we receive in our trials from God we can comfort others with. There is a blessing in that. Both for the comforter and the comforted. Trials prepare the believer for greater service to the church.
