The Power to Not Give Up, Nor Give In

In the scripture, James 5:16, what does the word righteous mean? If the Prophet Elisha was not living a holy life unto God, would the Lord have still granted his prayer requests? How happy are we when we are struggling through a trial? Is there a reward for those that endure temptation? How do we respond to painful trials even those that are intended to perfect us? Do we advertise our pain, or do we silently endure? Do we live in the future waiting for our circumstances to improve, or in the present seeking the hand of God for all that should come to us?
