Pray Like This: Deliver Us From Evil

Evil is a reality. It is not simply good in the making, or an illusion, or good misunderstood. Far from it. Evil is a privation, an ethical violation of God's law, the absence from an act or a creature of that goodness which it ought to have. Yet God can and will deliver us from evil, through Jesus’ punishment and resurrection, the Father’s imputation of righteousness, and an ongoing Holy Spirit-empowered ethical transformation. Our entire salvation is nothing less than a deliverance from evil!
