Heir of All Things
Series Hebrews
This first description "Heir of all things" most certainly is an expression of the fact that God became a man. It speaks to Jesus' humanity. God made man in His own image and in the Garden God gave to that sin free man dominion over all the earth. Psalm 8 sings of that wondrous moment. In verse 5-6 ...For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet... But Adam the first man sinned and he feel into ruin and in that moment, he lost dominion over all things. Now the thorn would conspire against him and the animals would prowl in the streets. Christ came as a man in and coming He came to get our dominion back.
