GPS-Guidance in Practical Spirituality. Most Christians need guidance and encouragement in this matter of prayer. This passage gives us reasons to pray: 1-Prayer is commended to us by the Lord Jesus Christ through His apostle, Paul. 2-Prayer is required by the times in which we live. 3-Prayer is a privilege that has been purchased for us at an enormous cost.
