Kenosis Theory vs. The Bible. There's a big difference between Emptying and Hiding!

266

Pastor Chronister takes another run at Matthew 25:14-30, The Parable of the Talents, and divulges what he told us during the post-game show last Sunday. The 3rd man, the evil servant, is Satan.

Pastor reviews Jesus's parables. They are connected.

A. Faithful/Wise - Evil Servant
B. 10 Virgins 5 Wise - Foolish Virgin
C. 3 Slaves Heavy Gold. 2 - 1 Wicked

When God asks a question, “Who then is a faithful and wise servant?” The answer is close in Scripture. Pastor Chronister now goes over these parables and helps up make the necessary connections. If Food = Oil in the first two parables, then what equals Food and Oil in the last parable? Simple, right? Wait, there's more.

The Evil, Foolish, and Wicked in these parables are not to be felt sorry for. If you start down that path, you'll be on the side of those of whom God will say, I Do Not Know You.

Now pastor reads the individual parables and we find a delaying element in all these.

But what about the question that Mark from TX asks? What is the origin of Modernism or Kenosis Theory? What does it mean when it says Christ emptied Himself? Is it possible to separate Christ from His Godhood? C. S. Lewis says, “It is impossible to read the Bible and come up with the wrong conclusion.” God/Christ is infinity. How long would it take to empty infinity? There's a big difference between Emptying and Hiding! This is The Mystery of Godliness.

But wait! There's even More! Our pastor goes on to compare The Parables of Jeramiah 13 with these Parables.

From here I'll stop typing so you can listen. Be sure to write or call this Pastor with questions and encouragement. Now just press play.
