The Purpose of Our Lives

Aim: To understand why God put us here.

Exegesis: We live to see God's will get done. We should always possess the Lord's vision (vv. 1-3) and cherish the Lord's promises (v. 4). We live to experience God's resurrection of us. Our bodies will surely rise to life (vv. 5-6), and our souls are already raised (in Christ) (vv. 7-8). We live to pass God's word on to others. Our ministry must go on (v. 9), and our Savior must be praised (vv. 10-12).

Key verse: v. 4 ''Then the LORD said to [Moses], 'This is the land of which I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ''I will give it to your descendants.'' I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not cross over there.'''
