A Benediction of Peace

Jesus is the sovereign Prince of peace! By the blood of his cross and the power of his resurrection, he has gained the victory over sin and death for all who trust in him. Even though he is clothed with power, he shows compassion towards his troubled and doubtful disciples, leading them to embrace his risen Lordship as they go to proclaim him among the nations. Such a task is not left up to them alone, for the same power that clothed Christ clothes them as they bring his kingdom gospel to the ends of the earth! May we join in with the many faithful saints who have gone before us and strive for the spread of the gospel to the ends of the earth!
