We should consider hardships pure joy, not because we enjoy the hardships, but because those hardships can help us increase our perseverance. And if that doesn't fill you with joy, it's only because you don't understand the value of perseverance.

We looked last time at how miserable life gets when you lack perseverance. But that's not the worst part. I ended last time by telling you the worst part of not having perseverance has to do with our eternal destiny.
