From this it is clear that when Peter said that the Christian is guarded by “the power of God,” he was not simply saying that our protection is certain (which it is). Rather, Peter here is asserting with as much energy as could be employed by the Greek language that the protection and preservation afforded to the Christian is certain, unthwartable, and undepletable!
