How does God use preaching to save you? In our high-tech age, preaching may seem a little out of date. Why not use more flash and bang?

It’s worth noting that even in the first century there were critics of preaching. The Roman mystery religions had more flash and bang. The pagan temples had greater pomp and ceremony.

Paul himself refers to the “foolishness” of preaching.

But Paul insists that the message of the gospel is essential for salvation. And that message must be preached....
