Kill Gibeonites... God Comes! Figure out who these people represent Then Find Christ!

In the beginning you'll hear this pastor's heart concerning a Cliffside member, Dirk Fast, who is a very dear friend of this ministry and the son of one of our founding elders, Bill Fast. He was shot and killed up in Talkeetna, Alaska, for no other reason than he was trying to help someone and a psychopath had him first on a list of people to kill. Those details are not in the lecture, but I thought it would be alright to add them. And even though this happened eleven years ago, as we are just getting this lecture into SermonAudio now in October of 2021, I wish to remember Dirk and how special he is to this pastor and this dear little church.

But even though... our pastor has a lecture to give and we hope you will find it as educational, edifying and uplifting as we did. Last week we ended a three-part saga about the Gibeonites. And we did it because we need to understand circumcision. And that makes no sense to all of you who have not listened to the first 21 lectures of this series. But in this lecture, because we have many visitors who are friends of the Fast family and people who have not attended in a while, our pastor will recap and add to the previous lectures in order to tie in what we've learned so far.

You find out that when you kill Gibeonites, look out... God comes. But here's the most important part. If you don't see the Old Testament as telling you about Christ, you'll never understand it. So, we try to find Christ in 2 Samuel 21, and you will also find Anti-christ. And in our study, we have Joshua 9 and 10. And Saul is someone we have to figure out. But in 2 Samuel 21 we have David, who is acting as a type of Christ.
