One True God

33

I recently read about a man named Frederic Bourdin, a professional con artist who managed to convince a Texas family (along with the FBI) that he was their long lost son. In spite of the fact that his hair color and eye color were different than the son who had disappeared, he was able to live (for a time) as though he really was the person they had raised as their child.
You might wonder how a family could be so easily fooled! But, as I think about that story, I am reminded of how easily we all can be fooled by doctrines, philosophies, and beliefs that seem to be from God, but are in fact, imposters of the gospel.
There is one true God, and He has provided us with all the tools we need for truth and discernment in this life. In this week's message, we'll look at a passage in Deuteronomy that helps us identify and define the one true God and follow Him exclusively.
