Christian maturity and Christlikeness are NOT naïve "love and forgiveness and mercy and kindness" toward evil. It is the ability (grace leads us to it) to be able to discern the error of wicked ones and thereby stand firm against them. The ability to discern good from evil and evil from good is essential for the Christian.
