Darkness opposes the Light: Persecution, Pride, and Persistence

Acts 14 records the completion of the first missionary journey, as Paul and Barnabas travel through three cities in the Galatia area before returning to their sending church by retracing all the places they have been. Corresponding with each of these cities we see how Darkness opposes the Light of Christ through Persecution, Pride, and Persistence. We would do well to learn from the disciples' example in how to deal with such inevitable spiritual opposition.
