Enlightened Eyes of the Heart

In Ephesians 1:15-18, the Apostle Paul prays that Christians come to understand who God is, the purpose to which they are called and the power of God. In that last petition, Paul attempts to describe the indescribable when he characterizes the power of God. He piles one term upon another in an attempt to paint a picture of the vast, immeasurable dynamic strength and ability of God’s Sovereign power. And most remarkably, Paul tells us that God marshals the resources of His power on behalf of His people.
