A God-Centered Faith

The vast majority of all the faiths and religions found on earth are man-centered, i.e.
they look at religious truth only from a human perspective. The true Christian faith,
however, is profoundly God-centered looking at religious truth from God's point of view,
as revealed in God's Holy Word. Both our Catechism and our Scripture for tonight
teach us God's perspective on our sin.

1. The Catechism's depiction of the sinfulness of sin.

2. The Scripture's depiction of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

3. The Lord's creation of enmity between sin and saint.
