Job's Second Test

Whenever trouble or disaster strikes us, one of the first reactions that most people have
is to ask, "Where is God when it hurts?" This is because we simply expect God to take
better care of us. After all, that's His job, isn't it? No. It is not. The first two chapters of
the Book of Job teach us the sinfulness of that way of thinking. This comes out in the
second test given to Job. Here we see:

1. Satan's second accusation.

2. Job's ultimate temptation.

3. The three friends' sympathetic reaction.
