James 5:7-20 | Lesson 11
Series 2017 Revisit of James
There are a lot of people who are not following the rules, and then they wonder why things are not going the way they planned. If we are serious about wanting to see the power of Jesus Christ, then we ought to be obedient. Elders should be above reproach, and he needs to manage his household well. If we don’t follow God’s plan, we are not to be surprised when things don’t work out the way we thought. We are supposed to confess our sins to one another. One reason why people do not admit is that people want others to believe they are better than they are. Another reason is that when people tried being honest, they were rejected, gossiped about and ostracized and they determined that they were not in a safe place. We need to understand that faith needs to be in the context of obedience. We need to walk in obedience.
