Seeing Is Not Believing

In the passage before us, the suffering of Christ is external. The physical means of bringing about the death of Christ set forth here, along with the humiliation, the emotional humiliation, that went along with it. The pain of the cross and the pain of the people rejecting Him, rejecting His ministry, rejecting the truth, and rejecting God, all set before Jesus Christ. All being absorbed by Him in His physical being; in His truly human nature. As Jesus Christ suffers in plain sight, fulfilling the covenant and prophetical word of God, the blind refuse to see and continue in their rebellion.
