The Song of Deborah
310
In the aftermath of Jael's slaying of Sisera, Deborah and Barak composed a song in celebration of the victory over Jabin's army. This message consists of an overview of the song. The summons to bless the Lord, a description of the greatness of the victory, a recounting of the participation of the various tribes, a remembrance of Jael, the satire on the mother of Sisera are considered. The message concludes with exhortations which arise from the overview.
