Introduction to The Book of James - 01

This is the Intro to a 22 Lesson Study Series on The Book of James. The Book of James gives us Christian theology applied in practical everyday living. It can be compared to the Old Testament wisdom literature in Psalms and Proverbs. James reminds us that faith involves doing. It is not enough to be hearers of the word, we must be doers as well. The contents move quickly from one subject to another, resulting in a loosely connected collection of moral or ethical instruction. James gives his readers a series of thirteen tests to reveal how well they are doing in their lives. As you listen to these messages you will discover that the early Jewish Christians were having problems in their personal lives as well as in their church fellowship.
