I. 'A name'

A. What's in a name? (Matthew 1.20-21).

B. Learning from Bible names. If 'Babylon' we will not expect good.

C. Whose is this name? (17.3-4). Location and trappings disclose.

II. A City

A. Babylon was enriched by nations’ revenues Daniel 2.37-38).

B. Babylon dominated the lands within its grasp (17.15).

C. Babylon was full of idolatry and its associated uncleanness.

III. A Mother

'THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.'

A. Her mothering.

B. Her drunkeness (Isaiah 54.1-3; Revelation 17.6).

C. Her exposure:-

John Wycliffe or Wyclif (1320-1384)

John Hus (1360-1415)

Conclusion

It is revealed that the nations as ungodly would destroy Babylon. (Revelation 17.16). Therefore (Acts 14.22).
