The Christian's Ambition

In 1 Thes. 4:11-12 the Apostle Paul tells the Thessalonians to "study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands".

The word translated "study" means to make it your ambition or aim in life. The three-fold aim of the Christian life he say is...
The Christian Should Aim to Live a Peaceable Life
The Christian Should Aim to Live a Private Life
The Christian Should Aim to Live a Productive Life

In verse 12 he says... If this is your ambition in life it will enable you to walk Creditably.

You will have a good report - even of them that are without
Prov. 16:7 “When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”

Interesting isn’t it… it seems some of the greatest advances against the world are made quietly

Phil 2:14-15 “Do all things without murmurings and disputings. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;”
Additionally, If you make this your ambition in life it will enable you to live Comfortably.

This type of life is the means that God normally uses to meet the needs of His People
