Politically Incorrect Titus Part 10:”WJWD”-What Jesus Wouldn’t Do.
I Text: Old Covenant: (Deuteronomy 7:)
New Covenant: (Titus 2:14,15) 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
II Doctrine: The God of the Old Testament and the New Testament are the same God. What The Covenant God began through the nation of Israel, he would complete in his Son the true Israel. The local victories God granted the Israelites would spread internationally through his Son ending in world conquest. God’s people would be become an Army of righteousness for His glory. The true Church of Jesus Christ would be zealous of good works to glorify their Father in heaven. We are defined as a peculiar people by the things we refrain from, keeping ourselves from becoming entangled with the world. When God’s people are not peculiar in righteousness judgement falls upon them.
III Reasons:

  1. In reality creatures are defined by what they refrain from as well as by what they do. The sheep is not equipped to attack the wolf.
  2. Being peculiar can be an attribute in the universe God created and support life.
    IV Application:
  3. Christians must realize Jesus Christ fulfilled the plans of his Father revealed in the Old Covenant. (1 Peter 2:1-11)
  4. The New Covenant Church must glorify Jesus Christ in thought, word, and deed. Especially in this wicked generation we m
