Purity in an Impure World

609 ( 466 | 143 )

Sermon: In the midst of a moral crisis in this land and around the world, we are called as Christians to be in the world but not of the world. In Scripture we read, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind . . . shall inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9, 10).. However, there is hope, “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God” (1 Corinthians 6:11). God calls us to be holy in the midst of an unholy world—to be pure in the midst of an impure world. --- Feature: In an era when God is being drummed out of public life, we’ve also experienced the largest government overreach in recent memory. Government has now inserted itself into the realm of healthcare—and it wants the restraining, protecting influence of God removed. Dr. Jerry Newcombe and John Rabe deliver an update on this critical issue.
