Hosea: God's Love for Israel

The prophet Hosea deals with the topic of the infidelity of Israel, her punishment and restoration; and the perfect love of God. The Lord commanded the Hosea to marry a potential harlot, so he married his wife Gomer who eventually was unfaithful to her husband, and God used this domestic tragedy to illustrate the love of God for His unfaithful people of Israel. This books teaches us of the love of God in balance with this righteousness. And lack of knowledge of God and His word is a key factor for apostasy (Hos.4:6)
