The Living Christ Holds the Keys

The apostle John, seeing in his vision the revelation of Jesus Christ in His full restored glory, “fell at His feet like a dead man.” In telling John not to be afraid, Christ comforts Him as the living God and the very source of life itself.

Titles and attributes, such as His eternality, as associated with God the Father in the Old Testament are attributed to Christ in the New Testament pointing to His full deity.

John was carefully instructed what to write concerning the revelation he was to be given. The message would have three parts – “things seen”, “things which are” relating to the churches, and future things that will happen on the earth, after the Church is “caught up” to be with Christ and taken to heaven.

Even though the bulk of what John is to write is concerns events to take place after the Church is removed from the earth, it is to be known and lived in light of by all churches down through today.
