Preach the Gospel at All Times; You Can't Do It Without Words

There is a popular maxim that is often communicated in churches and believed by Christians. It goes like this: "Preach the gospel at all times; when necessary use words."

The problem? Neither the words nor the concept can be found anywhere in the Bible. The philosophy expressed in the above-mentioned popular saying is patently unbiblical.

The gospel of Jesus Christ can only be communicated with words--either written or spoken.
