Praying Always

The Whole Armor of God - Message 11 - Praying Always. Prayer is not a piece of the Armor. Prayer is a mindset that prepares us for battle and sustains us in it. As we commune with God, we are not to just "say our prayers." We pray without ceasing. We pray in the Spirit, that is in His power. We pray without losing heart, without doubting, and without limiting the time, place, posture, or position in which we pray. Prayer is foundational to our Christian life, but how many of us really do not understand what it means to pray, much less to pray without ceasing? In this message we will study private and public prayer, secret or social prayer, prayer with or without words, solemn or sudden prayer. We will also learn about adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication. Praying in the power of the Spirit means we pray with power, putting no confidence in teh flesh, with little regard for place, posture, or pattern, with perseverance, and with faith, hope, and expectation. In this message we learn how important prayer really is.
