A Pastoral Perspective on Persecution

Talkative has left, of his own accord, and now Evangelist comes to Christian and Faithful. Evangelist was their faithful pastor.

Evangelist examines, encourages and exhorts the Pilgrims. Then, he prophesies that one (or both) of them will die in the town of Vanity. This is not a Charismatic 'word of knowledge' but a foreshadowing of what will happen in the novel -- and a truth that some Christians die under persecution, while God preserves some through persecution.

This lesson deals with Biblical instruction regarding persecution that is still applicable for our day. It is a discussion class, and we deal with some current persecution going on in our present world.
