Lk 17 22-30 When the Kingdom Comes

The first coming of the Messiah was not at all in a manner that the Jews expected and hoped for. Jesus came as a humble man. They were expecting a conquering king. He brought a kingdom that was manifested in the hearts of individuals. They expected a world-ruling potentate.

People missed the first coming as He established His internal, spiritual kingdom. No one will be able to miss His second coming when He judges all the peoples of the world and sets up a thousand-year reign, the first installment of an eternal kingship.

But some things had to happen first...
