The Servant/Warrior, Part 2

97

In this message we cover the second and third parts of this chapter. The second section deals with the day of salvation, the Father's giving His Son as the covenant for His people. The Son's blood establishing that covenant. God promises to set prisoners of sin free and those in spiritual darkness into the light.

He promises to care for them as sheep, leading them through the wilderness of this world, protecting and providing for them.

The last section (14-26) refers to Judah's restoration after her captivity in Babylon. This is the near interpretation. The far interpretation addresses the hope of the redeemed in the gospel age for their New Jerusalem in the eternal kingdom.
