“The Godly Outworking of Acceptable Worship”

Main Idea: We must live out acceptable worship before a holy God!

∙ Worship that loves our brothers and sisters (1)
⇒ Continues to love

∙ Worship that does not neglect hospitality (2)
⇒ For some have entertained angels unawares
⇒ Continues to not neglect

∙ Worship that remembers those in prison (3)
⇒ Since you are “in the body”
⇒ Continues to remember

∙ Worship that honors marriage (4)
⇒ That keeps the marriage bed undefiled
⇒ For God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous

∙ Worship that is free from the love of money (5)
⇒ Be content with what you have
⇒ For the Lord will never forsake us

∙ Worship that totally relies upon a faithful God (6)

Applications

Love your brothers and sisters in Christ, as brothers and sisters!
Show hospitality to the strangers God sends your way.
Don’t forget the “forgotten”—those in jail!
Honor the marriage bed!
Don’t love money!
Trust God!
