'As...So also...'

Why is it important to keep these two verses together? What do we miss out when we only quote verse 27 as a reference to the certainty of death and judgment following? The main point in the passage no less! The 'once-for-all' nature of Christ's death! Thus we interrupt the deliberate correspondence between the two verses - 'as it is appointed for man once to die...so also Christ.'
