How to Draw Close to God

47

Charles Dickens began his novel, A Tale of Two Cities, with the words, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness . . .” Dickens’s description points to the fact that people view the same events from different perspectives. Whether it was “the best of times,” or “the worst of times” depended on your point of view.

One of the blessings of the Word of God is that we possess God’s infallible viewpoint about the matters to which He speaks. And Zephaniah the prophet depicted “the worst of times” for Jerusalem and Judea.
